About Plaspak Peteron
Plaspak Peteron Pty Ltd is a Melbourne based
manufacturer of bottles,
jars and closures primarily for the food and beverage and related
markets
in Australia. Our products are supplied nationally.
Plaspak acquired Peteron Plastics in May 2002.
Prior to this Peteron was a
wholly owned subsidiary of Malbak Ltd, a global rigid packaging
company
publicly listed on the Johannesburg stock exchange. Malbak acquired
Plaspak Peteron in 1994 from the original owners.
The Plaspak group is essentially a group of successful
and profitable
businesses producing rigid plastic packaging along Australia's
eastern
seaboard. There are 10 manufacturing sites producing products
such
as closures, thin walled food packaging, PET bottles and jars,
injection
blowmolded pharmaceutical and cosmetic bottles and jars and extrusion
blowmolded bottles and jars.
Products manufactured at Plaspak Peteron are manufactured
in a highly
automated, hygienic environment and the standards are based on
food
industry standards. This enables us to minimise contamination,
improve
efficiency and provide consistent quality.
Plaspak Peteron is known primarily for the quality
and cleanliness of its
products and the ability to develop and design concepts and then
expedite
them to the marketplace. Our new purpose built factory is located
on a
greenfields site in Dandenong South a southeastern suburb of Melbourne.
Innovation is a core strength of Plaspak Peteron
and many of our key
customers have recently benefited from this attribute such as
Cadbury
Schweppes, Crusta Fruit Juices and Steric Pty Ltd.
